Ratings & Reviews

  1. dionysus67's rating of the film Ordinary People

Bold in terms of the decision to minimize dialogue and dramaturgy in what is meant to be a realistic (anti) war film. Overall, the venture works as the director succeeds in conveying the 'banality of evil' through the bus' suspension squeaks and the expressionless transformation of a young boy to a cold-blooded executioner. Thus, the non-dramatized excecutions are rendered all the more powerful. Recommended.

  2. Mario Gaborović's rating of the film Ordinary People

Another "less is much" film... Which works only if the lead actor is able to make more than one facial expression.
