  1. FISCHER's rating of the film Our Mother's House

Une oeuvre Ʃtonnante, d'un envoƻtement constant dans sa folle dramaturgie... www.cinefiches.com

  2. Daniel S.'s rating of the film Our Mother's House

I've never been disapppointed by a film directed by Jack Clayton. And this one is no exception. Highly recommended.

  3. Martin Wilson's rating of the film Our Mother's House

Once again Clayton's key elements are a house, children and Pamela Franklin. It's curious that the first edition of this film I owned was Spanish. In its confined setting and the everyday poetry of children it feels very close to the world of CRIA CUERVOS, both featuring the impact of a dying mother. And then there's The Spirit of the Beehive's kinship with Whistle Down the Wind. No wonder Del Toro is a fan.

  4. Noiresque's rating of the film Our Mother's House

This film and the novel from which it was adapted is what Ian McEwan used as the basis of THE CONCRETE GARDEN. I prefer the wit and grotesque of this film.
