Ratings & Reviews

  1. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

Film noir thriller that feels real and doesn't have that artificial studio feel that was normal at that time. I like the story that not only is a manhunt to catch a killer, but also a race against time in order to stop him to become a walking death virus. Only the scenes where we follow Richard Widmark in his private life with his wife drags down the film and doesn't add anything truly interesting to the film.

    What an amazing screenplay.

  3. FISCHER's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

Un sujet qui évoque "La peste" d'Albert Camus, développé avec intelligence par Elia Kazan et soutenu par une remarquable interprétation de Richard Widmark... www.cinefiches.com

  4. E's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

Beat-for-beat, one of the most amazing films ever.

  5. Nathan Grey Hollis's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

  6. Matt Rolls's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

A pleasant surprise. Would have liked a follow-up with Widmark reprising his role.

  7. Laurs Kemp's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

This still is from Henry Hathaway's "Fourteen Hours." Just sayin'.

  8. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

A sharply-crafted crime thriller from director Elia Kazan highlighted by intense performances by a top-notch cast, particularly Richard Widmark and a young Jack Palance at their best. A classic, but not quite on the level of some of Kazan's other masterpieces.

  9. Beneezy's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

  10. Nosada's rating of the film Panic in the Streets

Wholly engrossing. Kazan is a magician.
