Our take

Shot in exquisite monochrome and enriched by a gorgeous landscape tableaux, Papusza explores prejudice, the role of community, and life as a social outcast in post-war Poland. An immersive, ravishing period drama about the courage to create while proving the value of one’s own artistic talent.
