Un court ballet avec un danseur et une danseuse que Mac Laren filme merveilleusement en "défragmentant" tous les mouvements de la danse ... www.cinefiches.com
One of the finest portrayals of dance on screen I have seen yet.
Loved it so much more than I was expecting. Brilliant.
Arisa this was groundbreaking for the time. If you had any concept of optical printing, you would be absolutely mesmerized at the technical proficiencies, not to mention this was produced over 40 years ago. The reason you have screens savers that look like this step down process is due - in large part - to the work of avant garde film makers such as Mclaren.
this made me want to watch the old animated nutcracker film from 1990
Honestly, the soundtrack is much more interesting than the visuals.
Pure hypnosis through the beauty of the human silhouette. An out-of-body film experience.
The dancing was beautiful, strong, and sensual. Unfortunately, the effects just hindered me from seeing this. Not to mention they reminded me of a tacky screensaver.
There are times in this film that I adore the primitive beauty of dance, and there are times when the human form becomes something more like a flower, or even a liquid. So simple and so beautiful--the lines of motion the body can create. It's more than a film.
