    architecture on screen 2010-19

  2. The Watcher's rating of the film Perret in France and Algeria

An excellent analogy by Movieman on vacation photos. This is really not worthy of TIFF. It is not beautiful by any stretch and every building, apartment complex etc., look exactly alike no matter where they are situated. There is nothing to be learned from this film what so ever. It is amateurish, unexplained and trivial. I am questioning the inclusion of this film at TIFF strongly.

  3. msmichel's rating of the film Perret in France and Algeria

Dry and uninvolving but still rewarding in one's contemplation of the architecture created. Buildings and structures; some beautiful, some ravaged by time, some distorted by modernization, some repurposed beyond the architect's designs. Would have been more powerful as a short film or better yet a broadcast version.

  4. Caligula's rating of the film Perret in France and Algeria

I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary. All aesthetics and no information, and I like it that way. I can read and learn about the Perret brothers on my own time.
