Ratings & Reviews

  1. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Personal Services

Poverty row on most counts, with a rather cheap looking approach which doesn't quite turn budgetary limitations to its advantage. Jones' films often have a ramshackle quality as if directing from the Yellow Pages with a camera screwed to the floor and stuck in uninspiring close, medium and long shots. Despite all this it has some cheeky vim and vigour especially in the playing despite seeping sentimentality.
