Ratings & Reviews

  1. Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film Pierrot, Pierrette

2.5. Creaky, thoroughly uninspired Dickensian melodrama. The kids are cute, the photography handsome enough, but this is a weak career finish for the director of LES VAMPIRES.

  2. El Biffo's rating of the film Pierrot, Pierrette

A bit corny and predictable, but sweet. And Bouboule is adorable as little Pierette. Feuillade's films are somewhat choppy, they don't have the grace of Epstein or Gremillon, but they have a simple appeal which can't be denied, and a special place in the history of cinema.
