Beautifully shot, a lot of very magical moments. However, I was having trouble staying engaged this could of easily been 10-15 mins long, A lot of the scenes are very long and drawn out. Which is really beautiful but annoying, I enjoy the foreplay of it all but after a while it becomes just pretty to look at but nothing more behind it in my opinion and i love dick just as much as the next girl/guy prob even more.
It's like 'Female Vampire', albeit synthesized with an element of light psychological odyssey. 'Pink Narcissus' is essentially a parade of sexually evocative set pieces centered around a narcissist who abstractly gives himself to nature, and gains perspective on the temporal nature of his own youth and beauty. As others have mentioned, I don't think this needed to be an hour long, but the experience is worthwhile.
A curious interaction between contemporary aesthetics (at that time, avant-garde) and an unusual, almost outdated touch. A vision of self-gratificating dreams and exotic sex fantasies, the restless longing thrives in an absolute, cold solitude. Pink Narcissus is certainly worth waching.
Bet you can't eat just one! Taste it! Taste it! Get'em while you're HOT!, invites you the neon city lights. Once you accepted this erotic fantasy journey, there's no coming back. Pink Narcissus is an inevitable one-hour boner, a mindblowing trip and one of the highlights in gay cinema. Psychedelic poetry.
The fact this was considered pornography when it was first released, brings so much joy to my life! The image of gay teens hitching rides up to New York to see the screening to what is basically a gay David Lynch film is something to bring to my mind on sad rainy days! Though, I do love the rain.
