Our take

Before Matt Damon, Dennis Hopper, and Andrew Scott, there was Alain Delon: the first actor to portray Patricia Highsmith’s talented Tom Ripley on screen. Murder and deception are on the menu in this queer-coded thriller, which takes to Italy for a sun-baked sojourn with the beautiful and the damned.
