Ratings & Reviews

  1. FISCHER's rating of the film Quartet

Subtile reconstitution d'une atmosphère, quelquefois ennuyeuse... www.cinefiches.com

  2. AugusteB's rating of the film Quartet

Unfortunately nothing really works in this film for me. It is hard to feel with any of the characters. Adjani tries hard to make her bumpy ride believable. Still enjoyable to watch the actors in outburst of passion.

  3. Cinema Omnivore's rating of the film Quartet

    6.2/10, my review: http://wp.me/p1eXom-2wD

  4. Maria Nefeli Panetsos's rating of the film Quartet

Just a confusing film, without clear characters and dialogues... Too common the mad-lost young girl without a real personality. Too much intention without real substance.

  5. Lorna Singh's rating of the film Quartet

Visually stunning look at pre World War I I Paris. But the usually great Isabelle Adjani is miscast and fails to connect in this tale of desperation.

  6. Slowart's rating of the film Quartet

the best ivory-merchant production/ although the sense of place and time is pitchperfect as usual, isabelle and maggie crush ivory's adaptation patterns with their subtly hysterical acting and turn the story of 20s literal decadence into something vague and individualistically scary with no universal message/in one word sublime
