A slight but fun documentary that occasionally veers into startlingly dark territory. Wasn't a huge fan of the editing (those premature fade outs became almost comical after a while) but overall a warm, inspiring story that should resonate with any lifelong artist.
When the guy began talking about The Goonies and almost everyone told about their divorced parents... I wasnt prepared for crying as much as I did. Kinda of a slow beginning but its a really fun doc with really weird nice people coming together. GIVE ME ELI ROTH COMMENTING ON EVERYTHING, PLEASE. Adult supervision ruled here! One star for an awesome last 15min! Marry me, Indiana.
feel good fun that any cinephile/filmmaker will relate to whole-heartedly. could've delved deeper into the destructive and delusional personas of these kids as adults, and gotten more pathos from that but full of riveting moments and ultimately taken to the next level by snippets from the original kid fan film
