  1. Brotherdeacon's rating of the film Red Cherry

Children abused in the horrors of war is an easy theme to exploit for propaganda purposes, and RED CHERRY does just that. However, the character details, directorial construction, along with good young actors working within the story's unique viewpoints--all these helped fashion a film which flies a flag of individual humanism rather than a more specific ideology or national ideal. Not long on art, but good.
