Ratings & Reviews

  1. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Red Shift

Somewhat overly ambitious split-time zone - or time wormholes - drama merging themes of continuation, place and metaphysics. Lofty material indeed for peak-time BBC1, but in 1978 such ventures were possible; this it pulls off in a rudimentary sense if lacking some of the more complex nuances of Garner's novel. Nevertheless a bold attempt and no doubt reaching a large audience perhaps not expecting such matters.
