Two screens, each reflecting the other, and a single kaleidoscopic vanishing point; the world and its image. One creating the other; reality pulling its reflection out of itself? Like a magician’s scarf? Or maybe one devouring the other. Either way, totalizing. Even future gets only a few new frames per rotation in this drudgework of making meaning from spectacle. Captivity in spectatorship? Something like that.
Don't read the plot, then question the intent. Release from what? Presumably technique, as I expected the maker to release us from the repetition of technique without climax. The film comes with a twist when we see the credits, but to what end? Like some earlier experiments in split-screen, bit futile.
