Our take

Quentin Tarantino took the Sundance Film Festival by storm with his instantly iconic debut. Freely riffing on Ringo Lam’s City on Fire, Reservoir Dogs pulls together an all-star ensemble for a loquacious, charismatically disreputable heist movie that wears its pop-cultural fetishism on its sleeve.
