Ratings & Reviews

  1. Karl J. Kipling's rating of the film Return of the Texan

Sensitively directed contemporary western from the underrated Daves. No big scenes but takes its time with the details, fleshes out the minor characters: the villain isn't that villainous and the sure-to-lose third corner of the love triangle is not dullard or boob or swine. There's a whole lot to like here, not the least of which is Walter Brennan given one of his best codger roles - and that'll improve any movie.
