I recall having liked the film some 50 years ago--especially Sammy Davis Jr and Bing Crosby, who appear in it; but 50 years later, it is embarrassing to sit through. But Peter Falk is good as the bad guy. And there is the uncredited appearance of Edward G. Robinson.
I could watch this movie without sound. Those incredibles settings, the colors, the decors, the ornaments, the wardrobe, the cinematography... they don't make movies like this anymore. The problem? The plot is a mess and while some musical moments are entertaining, they seem misplaced in a gangster movie.
