Ratings & Reviews

  1. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film Rock & Rule

Evil character looks looking like a demonic Iggy Pop decide that an animated Debbie Harry and her angelic voice could help summon Hell on Earth. Soundtrack made especially for the movie holds some interest, but the animation is cruel and too childish at times with embarrasing up-skirts scenes that feels mostly disturbing and disgusting. Story and characters also feels half-finished and never hits all buttons.

  2. Dukeson's rating of the film Rock & Rule

As a movie, its bad. The storytelling is awful. The animation, however, is top notch.

  3. Henri de Corinth's rating of the film Rock & Rule

3 for the music and pastels, 1 for everything else.

  4. Reindertot's rating of the film Rock & Rule

  7. goeienag's rating of the film Rock & Rule

A cute film, definitely doesn't compare to Bakshi's work. It's fun to watch, but I wouldn't enjoy it so much if it weren't for the soundtrack...and the fact that I had a crush on Omar when I was younger.

  8. E. Ev's rating of the film Rock & Rule

fun fact: the demon in that picture was animated using cow guts

  9. Paul Johnson's rating of the film Rock & Rule

The movie's in shambles - lazily written and seemingly unfinished in spots, yet it's got a great, evocatively muddy look, and some of the character designs are fabulous. Some good to great songs, especially from Debbie Harry, and it breaks my heart that there's never been a soundtrack release.

  10. HeadGEAR's rating of the film Rock & Rule

Caught this movie on HBO long ago. Glad it is available on DVD now.
