    A beautiful, intensly personal and hilarious tale - and one of the few films I know that manages to provide an access for an understanding of depression rather than downplaying it or picturing it as a form of complete otherness.

    the voice-over was really annoying, but it's still impressive that practically everything in this film was made by the director herself. and she has a pretty nice sense of humour

    It's a one woman show in which animator/director/narrator Signe Baumane tells the generations long history of depression and suicide in her family using a combination of papier-mâché stop-motion and hand-drawn animation.
