Ratings & Reviews

  1. Richmond Hill's rating of the film Roll on Four O'Clock

A decent verite-style play with a typically ambiguous exploration of a ‘square peg’ student - and his teacher at one extension - in a fairly hostile environment. Nothing is resolved thematically, but this is a sensitive and nuanced portrait with the amateur child-performances providing detail amid an essentially accurate, if depressing, notion of teaching as warders not enlighteners in a binary education system.
