Mark, a director living in Berlin, sends a filmed love letter to Sandra, a painter who lives in Paris. Mark reminisces over their relationship and a trip they took to Rome in search of their Jewish origins. As time passes, the continued presence of the camera becomes a challenge for Sandra.
