I love Alex Karpovsky, but this attempt at something new was clearly beyond what he's capable of. His obsession with his co-worker, the murder itself, the dwelling on his mother's suicide, and his reaching a breaking point all wind up feeling anti-climactic because they weren't adequately developed.
A scientist's jealously drives him to extreme measures in this paranoid thriller directed, written by, and starring GIRLS' Alex Karpovsky. Occasionally effective, if a bit self conscious. Hints of a VERTIGO-like descent into madness never quite come together. Feels like an idea for a film that never fully developed.
