  3. Thomas Dods's rating of the film RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage

A very solid documentary telling the full story of one of the best and most underrated rock bands.

  4. mpho3's rating of the film RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage

I'm not a huge Rush fan, but I am a huge music fan. Scoff if you will, but according to the Recording Industry Association of America, this massively talented and influential band has the third most consecutive gold or platinum rock albums behind The Beatles and Stones. To boot, they seem like genuinely nice and good humored guys - Canadian for short. I started to lose interest near the end but the doc is well done.

  5. mjgildea's rating of the film RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage

Having never been a fan or non-fan of Rush but always respecting their musicianship, I was thoroughly impressed with this documentary. Through relevant interview subjects (everyone from Geddy Lee's mom to Les Claypool) and archival/home movie footage, the band's history is told and no subject is left off the table (i.e. Lee's voice, the heavily synthesized 80s, Peart's brilliance.) Their catalog is stuck in my head.
