Wanted really bad to like it, but despite amazing soundtrack and dance sequences. The beginning is great, but later none of the characters are likeabe. As if all the sexism, homophobia and racism wasn't enough, the plot derails completely towards the end with one attampted rape, a successful gang rape and suicide.
Most disturbing movie I've seen in ages. What's wrong with all the characters? Either the script is really bad or they all have very serious mood swings. Also, where are all the gays in the club? Well, the best thing about this movie is John Travolta dancing. He knows how to move. Too bad there are only two good dance scenes.
I really want to love this movie but i have to say it's not that good. The soundtrack is great, opening shots, all dance moves are amazing and memorable (make you want to feel the 70s world) but i guess the script is only good in introduction but then goes meh especially in the third act.
