  1. Aardsy's rating of the film Say Anything...

Cusack builds good will he will ride for a lifetime.

  2. truffraud's rating of the film Say Anything...

john cusack. i admit i bumped the rating up a star purely for his acting chops. he plays the same guy in every movie and he does it so well. the story is creepy in a modern context (it's entitled to expect a girl you know in passing to let you take her out, to watch her from afar at a party where she's the odd one out). the IRS/father business seems out of place. as far as 80s movies go, this is a good one.

  5. Ethan's rating of the film Say Anything...

This is the part John Cusack was born to play. Ione Skye is a vision and this is by far Cameron Crowe's best film.

  6. DenoResandono's rating of the film Say Anything...

Sweet, funny, and heart-warming. I think those words are enough to describe this movie. One of my favourite romance movie.

  7. Terra's rating of the film Say Anything...

I've watched this movie so many times in an attempt to find any redeeming qualities, or to try and figure out why other's love and rave about it so much. I can't crack the code. This film is god awful.

  8. Genre films > French New Wave's rating of the film Say Anything...

One of the most realistic teen romance movies, which is both it's flaw and strength. It's a very awkward movie in a good and a bad way. In this way it's almost more anti-John Hughes than Heathers ever could be. I thought it had a rough beginning and got better. The relationship b/w her and her father was weird but interesting. I did like how the boombox scene was done: not too Hollywood. Just like this movie.

3 and a half stars. John Cusack being John Cusack and that's fine by me.

  14. Elena Lazic's rating of the film Say Anything...

What a weird movie. Some amazing moments especially in the Lloyd and Diane relationship. The moments of betrayal and profound sadness make the film seem very real and I did not expect that: things aren't as sugar coated as they might have been in earlier movies of the kind (pretty in pink etc). Also, I didn't know John Cusack was so tall.

Girls want their own version of a Lloyd Dobler and that Peter Gabriel song.

  16. Eka Vakri Riski's rating of the film Say Anything...

"You just described every great success story" this fill with youth optimism!! | yeah it's nt perfect, but you will forget. it fill with nostalgic moment, because the character exist in this world, it's funny but not trying be funny. and the music, like 'Almost Famous' is perfect one. the only reason hold my self to give not 5 stars is cause 'Almost Famous' is better. oh man, Cameron Crowe make my heart laugh twice!
