  • ZYNAB's rating of the film Scared to Death

there's a few other films like this (not comedy, yet consciously "funny" horror playing up the goblins and ghoulies for all they're worth) but this is by far the worst...poor bela...you might think the premise sounds cool (i did) but back away because there is not one thing redeemable to salvage...

  • mjgildea's rating of the film Scared to Death

Scared To Death is total crap, but ridiculous, silly and occasionally amusing crap. Watching Bela Lugosi in color was a bit jarring and he was the only worthy thing in the movie. The transition scenes were awful to the point of being ridiculous. Scared To Death is the kind of movie you watch when you've either lost a bet, reached a whole new level of self-loathing, are drunk or just feel like pissing an hour away.

Grade 'Z' schlock from hack Christy Cabanne whose plot doesn't even begin to make a lick of sense. Cast seem to be having a competition to see who give the worst performance. My vote would be Molly Lamont who is hilariously bad here, especially with her asides from the coroner's table.
