  1. Joana China's rating of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Portugal

    ó senhor bispo, comunista é o senhor

  2. Stevie's rating of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Portugal

An excellent analysis of the Carnation Revolution by the undeservingly unheralded Robert Kramer. Unfortunately it's yet another downbeat ending as the workers fail to achieve the better society they want in the aftermath of their successful revolution as capitalism wins yet again (in the form of American intervention...who else?). I'm looking forward to exploring more of Kramer's films.

  3. beatrizatriz's rating of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Portugal

sense of each other: a people.

  4. Aydin KhaliliK's rating of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Portugal

The neighborhood commissions were really exemplary at that time.

  5. Mariana Branco's rating of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Portugal

Kramer mostra, de câmara na mão, um país em ebulição. O incentivo à reacção armada, as nacionalizações, a reforma agrária, o contra-golpe.

  6. João Biscaia's rating of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Portugal

Aside from the bad subtitles (which turn a "sick daughter" into a daughter with just one kidney) and some historical inaccuracies, it's a most compelling visual narration of post-revol. Portugal.

  8. TFCHooligan69's rating of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Portugal

An intriguing look at the post-coup struggles in 1970s Portugal. This was also my introduction to the films of Robert Kramer.
