Ratings & Reviews

  1. Francisco R.'s rating of the film Season of the Witch

It is darkly humorous, sexy and already establishes the late maverick as a talented social observer on suburban life (later to be expanded and improved upon in 1976's Martin) and the wild passions that threaten to overcome the state of mind of its houseviwes let down by her husbands, seeking some sort of help and thrills in the esoteric. Its conclusion is at once shocking, funny and yet completely logical.

  2. CarlosEsquives's rating of the film Season of the Witch

  3. FISCHER's rating of the film Season of the Witch

  4. Henri de Corinth's rating of the film Season of the Witch

Very uneven (by the time the film gets interesting it's half over) but worth seeing once. Really more an allegory of the early-'70s lib movement among the American bourgeoisie (publication of books on the occult and witchcraft skyrocketed in the US from '69 to '72) than a straight-up 'horror' film.

  5. Marcus Killerby's rating of the film Season of the Witch

This movie is near impossible to find. All DVD copies seem to be the Hungry Wives edit, which is 40 minutes shorter. If anyone knows of a good torrent, please let me know.
