Drama, Fantasy

Paranormal family drama wherein salaryman Sugita Heisuke loses his wife Naoko in a ski bus accident that also injures his daughter. Strangely, however, his daughter Monami has assumed the personality of his late wife – or rather the latter has assumed the physical embodiment of the former.

What are people saying?

  • Anthony De Luca's rating of the film Secret

3.2 The Japanese like a good body-swap movie. This one is slightly more interesting than others. Veering from feel-good comedy to tragic weepie, its sweet nature is tested by a couple of ever so creepy and wholly inappropriate moments (however complex the emotions) that threaten to derail the sentiment. However, the film comes into its own(!!) in the last 30 minutes and is rather poignant if you're a soppy so-and-so.
