  1. Henri de Corinth's rating of the film Self-Fashion Show

35mm-to-digital. Similar to Frampton’s (nostalgia)...the disconnect between images and sound. The people ‘modeling’ are obviously not responding to the direction given them by the voiceover. It also takes the disconnect further, tilting the camera to reveal the ‘studio portrait’ setting (filmed without sound) to be just a concrete wall in the street (with street noise then added in).

  2. Samuel T.'s rating of the film Self-Fashion Show

I've read this compared to Andy Warhol. I think more Rineke Dijkstra. Beneath the eye of a lens, or not, we are always just vulnerable beings. Courtesy Balázs Béla Studio.
