Ratings & Reviews

  1. Aaken's rating of the film Separate Tables

As a film, it is barely more than a filmed play, but one forgets it with the superb cast.

  2. A.B. II: The Return's rating of the film Separate Tables

This film may be melodramatic as all get-out, but I cannot deny that it's a thoroughly engaging watch. It's definitely a boundary-pushing film for that period, and it still has quite a bite even today (especially that dialogue). The cast is mostly giving grade-A work, from Oscar-winners David Niven and Wendy Hiller, to big stars Rita Hayworth and Burt Lancaster, to fine characters in the supporting cast.

  5. NICOLE86's rating of the film Separate Tables

Niven was pretty good in this movie. Was it Oscar worthy? Not really but it still was an impressive performance.
