While the patience that Serpent gives to its characters dimension is commendable, it takes too long for its main turning points to arise (a good 1/2 hour for one, 40+ minutes for another.) At times, it's a more dramatic and thematically-stronger, Open Water (2003), since it also is suspenseful, but with a greater depth. However, Serpent is padded in its length too, where it should've started closer to the fray.
