Dear God, this was magnificent! As gritty and B as they come. Imagine Bad Lieutenant made in the mid-50s and you're getting warm as to what Shield for Murder has in store for you. The bar room beatdown completely blew me away and a young Carolyn Jones is always nice. I almost wish I didn't see this movie as I now feel compelled to keep digging for more noir gems after thinking I got all there was worth getting.
