Ratings & Reviews

  1. Kelvin Thompson's rating of the film Shiver

1-2. It had a good initial idea, and even manages some scares in the living room scene, but after the first act, it mostly proves to be a ruthlessly stupid movie. If Angela escaped, how did Dimas' claim stand? Why did the nun walk around with an exposed wound? Why were Erika's eyes reflective? What did she survive on? Why did Dimas try to rape the German woman when both of their families were in the house?

  2. Nick Schwab's rating of the film Shiver

The abundance of false scares and the generic handling of its character relationships brings down Shiver, a well-paced film that also has good ideas in tow. For instance, the sun sensitive main character is unique and it is handled well for suspense while its most interesting aspect is that the villain is a character type that we don't often see in the genre. Thus, it's an uneven work of originality and stereotypes.

  3. Shawn Towner's rating of the film Shiver

If there were an award for best performance by sheeps, this movie would win, hands down. Also, it's a flick with a nice mix of horror and suspense.
