Our take

Winner of the Best Film award in Sarajevo, Erol Mintaş’s debut is a patient observation on the identity crisis that Kurds face when they are forced to migrate with their homeland. Using Istanbul’s gentrification as a backdrop, the film tenderly explores the relationship of an exiled mother and son.
