FNC '14 Ioanis Nuguet's gem of a film burns with authenticity and passion in telling it's story of a young Roma brother and sister struggling to survive within the French social system being tugged between bureaucracy and their helpless parents. The question of loyalty to one's culture and family is balanced with choices that would further them both and beat the cycle of poverty. Moving with genuine performances.
Kind of fictionalized, although it's a documentary. I think in proportion of 80-85% all that I saw were just poetic references, sensible music and all the other things that have "FICTION" write on it. Bummer, it could've been a beautiful documentary.
