Ratings & Reviews

  1. E's rating of the film Spontaneous Combustion

Dourif gets under your skin like few actors do, especially with the comic book FX.

  2. Lights in the Dusk's rating of the film Spontaneous Combustion

A muddled, sometimes ungainly effort from Hooper, which in hindsight seems to signal his shift from master of phantasmagorical horror towards B-level schlock. Brad Dourif gives one of his most remarkable performances, elevating the film in the process, while stray moments of operatic carnage seem to recall the vivid comic book stylisations of classic Hooper, e.g. Salem's Lot, Poltergeist & Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.
