Ratings & Reviews

  1. Andrei Burcea's rating of the film Stalingrad

Surreal grading and cinematography. Almost feels like a moving painting.

  2. Henrique Amud's rating of the film Stalingrad

Two stars for the beautiful visuals and that's it. A cliché-ridden melodrama that's totally inept in it's characters and narrative. But still, some of the action scenes are riveting achieve way more emotion than any of the film's poor dialogues.

  3. Nick Schwab's rating of the film Stalingrad

The cinematography is gorgeous, giving it the look of an oil painting at times, or a scenic postcard other times. Despite this, Stalingrad is rote in story and rather overblown in conceit. It's a stylized war epic akin to the glitzy sheen and melodramatic bombast of Pearl Harbor. The 'cool' action scenes are marred by use of slow-motion and have little tension, while the drama lacks layered empathy or true pathos.

  4. msmichel's rating of the film Stalingrad

High budgeted Russian flag waver that limits itself in its story that focuses on one small group of soldiers and the young woman they wind up protecting in battle torn WWII Stalingrad. No where near the level set in the '92 film from Vilsmaier. Mind you the expense is certainly seen on the screen with some riveting action, rousing scenarios and good 3D effects.

  5. Carlos Filipe Freitas's rating of the film Stalingrad

Assuredly, “Stalingrad” doesn’t make justice to one of the most important and bloodiest battles of WWII. Full Review:
