Three decades after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, a new threat arises. The First Order attempts to rule the galaxy and only a rag-tag group of heroes can stop them, along with the help of the Resistance.

Evokes nothing, rips everything, steals from everyone, "family is back together" mais qu'est que ça peut me foutre?!!A cinema made of moments (and forgettable ones at that).Lame-ism at its best. The franchise that killed movies for life. Whom will praise now Malick, Mann, Boyle, Moretti, Haynes, Noé, Davies &Akerman?/Hamil's beard, Driver's torn face, Fisher's Temple's gaze &Rowlands n'aw features+Bawss desert IMAX 3D
I remember saying to myself that I wasn't going to watch any more star wars movies after the disaster of the last batch. It was free, I was bored. It appeals to fans of nostalgia, since it's so similar to ep 4 and 5. I'm not sure why the old guard was even in the movie. Leia and Solo were sleepwalking. Luke doesn't even utter a word. It's one of those movies where it's all about the next one.
The special effects were awesome but the fucking story line is the thing that made me hate this film. There are thousands of Star Wars novels lying around that they could have used as inspiration. I was disappointed with the story.
The Force Awakens is more worried about living up to everyone's expectations rather than injecting new blood in a franchise that is too big to fail. Thus we're given a weird twin of Episode IV. Despite being extremely entertaining and fun to watch, this installment is JJ Abrams' safest film, and perhaps his most underwhelming.
[REVIEW] 79/100 - Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens (Abrams, 2015)
Its strongest ‘force’ is that it retains the heart of the original Star Wars trilogy by presenting friendships and camaraderie in the face of evil... perhaps this is what Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens is to its predecessors: a fanboy with the excitement, drive, and intention to rise up to the same level and
Nice combination of old and new, but too derivative of the old trilogy. It's time for a new Lucasfilm, not a revision of the old Lucasfilm. My favorite aspect of SW- the sound design- is ace as always.
What the F* is Adam Driver doing in this movie, for f* sake?! Like..pe bune? People act like in a Disney flick) So...pretty much inception-recycling: a brand new type of cinema. Even the 7 ”Star Wars” theories are more exciting than Abrams' "revival kit".
