Ratings & Reviews

  1. Violins By Night's rating of the film Storm

Engaging enough, but doesn't go anywhere you're not expecting.

  2. OcioActivo's rating of the film Storm

Storm is a savvy paper thriller, like an international and more sensitive version of The Firm. It follows the same trappings of a conventional case-based, check-on-the-facts structure but with an even hand and no illusion to change the sub-genre. Great performances.

  3. Joe Pryweller's rating of the film Storm

A tense geopolitical and courtroom thriller that I found quite involving. The fact that director Hans-Christian Schmid didn't resort to cheap devices, such as flashbacks, to depict the crimes in Bosnia at the heart of the story made it more dependent on dialogue and less manipulative. Great performances from the two leads, interesting camera work that involves constant movement and zooms.

  4. David R Williams's rating of the film Storm

This has been on my list for quite a while so was good to finally be able to watch. A rather standard story but its the performances you come to see - all of which are stellar but in particular Kerry Fox and Anamaria Marinca who are both mesmerizing.

  5. Wee Hunk's rating of the film Storm

Despite having seen this exact plot 10,000 times, the acting was very good.

  6. Nancy Stark's rating of the film Storm

Wonderful performance by the lead actor--she kept me engrossed.

  7. iambents's rating of the film Storm

Fantastic performance by Kerry Fox in an engaging story that makes even the greyness of The Hague come to life
