  1. Howard Orr's rating of the film Straightheads

Anderson must have wondered how she'd gone from the excellent "The House Of Mirth" a few years before to starring in a film with Danny Dyer. However, the result is a surprisingly nuanced examination of violence and voyeurism, which continues the rather dubious cinematic trend of "thoughtful" ultra-violence in the English countryside; indeed, to me it's a better film than Peckinpah's ridiculously lauded "Straw Dogs".
