Absolutely incredible survival story. Horrifying yet inspiring, this movie induces emotional, physical, and spiritual turmoil. Our "fascination with the abomination" is indulged with questions about the ethics, and necessity, of cannibalism. The most incredible part was the unity that the survivors experienced and their respect for one another (living or dead) that held strong even in the bleakest of situations.
Both the topic and parts of the interviews are very touching, but the way it is directed is just terrible wanna-be sensational "national geographic" style, with lousy reenactments and overly emotional sounds, music and camera flters. A missed chance, in my opinion.
