Ratings & Reviews

  1. Lights in the Dusk's rating of the film Stray Dog: Kerberos Panzer Cops

Oshii's Godard fetish leads him down a path towards Kitano country; static compositions, a languid tone, scenes of seaside silliness punctuated by brutal violence. Supposedly a continuation of Red Spectacles, the connection seems superficial. It does at least make explicit the themes of sadness & regret that hung over the more aggressively abstract & enigmatic predecessor, but it lacks the same metaphysical depth.

  2. r.ribeiro's rating of the film Stray Dog: Kerberos Panzer Cops

sci-fi but with an "ozuish" sense of existentialism and human relationships. Not a masterpiece but who cares? It's a film.
