Ratings & Reviews

  1. weinbrandbabsi's rating of the film Streetwise

beautiful, intense (yeah I know I use that word a lot) and unsettling - an empathically narrated and carefully filmed nonfic that opens up a fragment of the world and the people making their life in it.

  2. yasdnil's rating of the film Streetwise

Chilling and heartbreaking. I looked on Wikipedia, so many of them had sad outcomes...

  5. Ren P's rating of the film Streetwise

    Absolutely fucking heartbreaking.

  6. Harry Rossi's rating of the film Streetwise

Incredibly powerful, incredibly moving, and incredibly well made all together. This is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen, hands down. Their lives are sad, but you really get a sense of survival and hope with the these kids. The scene between the son and his father in jail is some of the best cinema I've ever seen. Just beautiful. Very sad, but also very beautiful, touching and most importantly: human.

  7. eharadon's rating of the film Streetwise

Just an absolute classic in the verite genre. Must see, again and again.

  8. Marie's rating of the film Streetwise

  9. Marco Adamo Graziosi's rating of the film Streetwise

Seems like "Kids" 10 years before. but this is reality

  10. Guy Sands's rating of the film Streetwise

Keith Desmond really deserves credit for sound. And Tom Waits is not in the movie, they just play his song "Take Care of All My Children" during the credits.

  11. absintheminded's rating of the film Streetwise

I so wish this was released on DVD.
