A vulgar lyricism abuses the sadness of an unresolved past. Friendship\family ties intended as a dissipated architecture, a faded micro structure of exceptions implicated in a sub-including, original point of oneiric returning. Hence the Renaissance art\Proust desperate glue, the forced connections that “enrich”, with brutal explaining, the inane and hollywoodian plot.
More than made up for its too long & desultory style(Runtime: 147 minutes!), "Suite Armoricaine" is powerfully simple & delicately lyrical tale about life of old professor who think I forget something in past & young undergraduate who's haunted by past. Life is full of regret, sadness, anxiety, impatience & brutally fast. That's why life is worth living for us. Maybe next year's Cesar is sweeped by this. Amazing.
