Tonally, it's akin to buckshot. Cataloging the different things this movie tries to be would be difficult, but the meat of it--a story about an adult man happening upon the ghosts of his long-dead parents, finally being able to bond with them--is emotionally resonant. Then again, there's a scene that leans heavy on creepy incestual overtones. There's also some body horror in there. (Also know as the Discarnates)
