CINEMANIA'15 1959 France and the country is fixated on its involvement in Algeria while Michel, a married notary, struggles to come to terms with his cross-dressing and fear of discovery. The script is unable to bring these facets together in a satisfying way and despite game performances in the end fails. Jeanne Balibar is quite good as the neglected wife but the rest of the cast seem to be in a film so out of date.
