  1. Aardsy's rating of the film Suspense

  2. Matija's rating of the film Suspense

If we pass on the fact that a tramp is coming to take someone's child for no apparent reason - this film is pure gold. Incredible shooting angles and editing. Split screen was not the first in cinema history, but probably the first to fit so well within a story.

  3. weinbrandbabsi's rating of the film Suspense

an early view into what would become the thriller - an interesting piece by now, from which you can see key scenes of the genre unfold, taking & transforming the original scenes. the only downside is the kleinbürgerliche plot

  4. Jdsarmientoburgos's rating of the film Suspense

The only problem with "Suspense" is that it's only 10 minutes long. It's not only suspenseful but also masterfully shot, one of the first notable films and it was directed by a woman!

  5. bryanvmh's rating of the film Suspense

Cross-cutting for the purposes of narrative tension two years before Birth of a Nation - and directed by a woman

  6. RoRoRoro's rating of the film Suspense

  7. Sefer Taslı Sapık's rating of the film Suspense

  8. Kelvin Thompson's rating of the film Suspense

Gotta agree with another commenter; pull 'Phillips Smalley' out. This is Lois' movie. Quite a few innovative choices in terms of shot composition here, as well as a decent score.

  9. xrystyna's rating of the film Suspense

beware! the tramps are lurking around your innocent wives and infants! - what a ridiculous story... whatever the technical or other achievments, the plot just ruined it for me totally.

  10. Neil Bahadur's rating of the film Suspense

Pull "Phillipps Smalley" out of the credits list for this film! Another instance of the anti-feministic values of the time which tried to lessen Lois Weber's contributions to the film.

  11. Erik Gregersen's rating of the film Suspense

I have seen $100-million action movies that have not had a car chase as well shot as the one in this short. Also more movies need triangular split screens.
