Perhaps the last television series that i'll make reference, in this case particularly estimated: from a literary basis, this series reconstructs an imaginary solidly entered on a real basis of a recent past : San Francisco in the 70s and its communities of various freedoms. Dynamic and multifaceted, a creative series that also refers to cinema, including its memory- and more specifically Hitchcock's "Vertigo".
An entertaining mini-series, made with warmth and energy. Some fine performances, especially from Olympia Dukakis and Laura Linney. Chloe Webb's quirks were never put to better use, and Marcus D'Amico is vastly appealing as Michael Tolliver. The follow ups just don't come near the quality of this one.
